We continue our tradition of celebrating Marvel movies by looking at the time that hero took over the Fantastic Four. This time, it’s Scott Lang’s turn!
The Fantastic Four have gone away for a bit and they’ve left some other heroes in charge of the Future Foundation to look after all those smart kids.
Ant-Man, She-Hulk, Medusa, and Miss Thing do their best in issues 4-8 of FF (the 2013 reboot) by Fraction and Allred.
The trade collection will confuse you by calling itself FF Vol 1: Fantastic Faux.
Also, we continue our look at Crisis on Infinite Earths, with Issue 4, in which…the plot continues…?
Next Time: Prez (2015)!
His name is Prez. He was the first teenage president of the USA.
Unfortunately he only got 4 issues from DC back in 1973.
He sure made the most of them though, defeating some Russians, a bunch of gun nuts, and even Dracula and the Wolf Man.
Since poor Prez deserved a decent send-off, we also read Sandman #54 to see Neil Gaiman’s take on the same character 20 years later!
Next Time: Preacher #1-7
It’s our 2016 Eisner Pre-Show Spectacular! As we gear up for the awards, we take a look at three past winners of the “Best Single Issue” award. Astro City #4 from 1996, Tom Strong #1 from 2000, and Hawkeye #11 from 2014.
We also read one of this year’s nominees, Silver Surfer #11, and we would have read them all but indie comics can be hard to find sometimes!
We talk about all four of these very different stories and decide if they were indeed worthy of the coveted Eisner award. And we don’t agree!
