AMFARH 010 – Fast and Furious Franchise

AMFARH_010

On the eve of Furious 7’s release, Michael, Dylan, Richard, and Vince look at all six movies in the Fast & Furious franchise to see how the films evolved from “Point Break with Cars” into “Ocean’s Eleven with Cars”.

Along the way, we’ll learn how many times is NOS used?  How many times is the word “family” said?  When did “Ride or Die” become a thing?  All this and more in our blistering run through the Fast & Furious franchise.

Also, please welcome Richard on his first appearance on the show.  It was a blast having him on.

AMFARH 009 – Rebooting Back to the Future

We’ve got to go back! This week the guys discuss Back to the Future and what it says about our own fascination with the generation in which we live.

Listen as they debate the merits of rebooting the classic film, then decide to do it anyway. The guys each draft their perfect reboot casts and directors, then vote on who has the best.

Who will come out on top?
Hint: it’s not the host who casts himself.

Tuesday Morning Pod: Chris Hemsworth (Season 40, Episode 15)

tmp40-15

Thor hosted this week’s Saturday Night Live, so that gives Scott, Vince, and featured player Kia ample time to talk about Thor’s muscles, Avengers minutiae, and ugly Hemsworth brothers.

This week’s best skit was the Hillary Clinton Cold Open.  That’s not to say that the episode was all downhill from the beginning.  It was just a nice, strong introduction to a new Kate McKinnon impression. Her Hillary should be fun going into the 2016 election season.

Oh, and Kia’s screener somehow missed the Beck Bennett/Kyle Mooney “Reality House”.  So I’ve included it below for him.

AMFARH 008 – Now, That’s What I Called Music, Vol. 2

image

It’s back! The guys travel back to 1999 to discuss the chart-toppers of “Now, That’s What I Call Music, Vol. 2.”

In addition to discussing the merits of each song and drafting their favorites, they’ll answer questions that have haunted man since the dawn of the 21st Century. Who is Sheryl Crow’s favorite mistake? What hit song was co-written by Seneca the Younger? Can Scott rap all the lyrics to the Robbie Williams classic “Rock DJ”?

Tuesday Morning Pod: Dakota Johnson (Season 40, Episode 14)

Fresh from the 40th Anniversary Special, Saturday Night Live welcomes Dakota Johnson (50 Shades of Grey) into the hosting chair.

tmp4-14

Scott, Kia, and Vince come back from hiatus to see how she fared. Did she do a good jorb? Even though we could say what we wanna say, we literally cannot say.

There was a lot of controversy over the best skit tonight, but ultimately, we have to give it to the Father Daughter Ad (or as we know it, “The Isis One”).

Tune in next week as Chris “Thor” Hemsworth hosts with musical guest, The Zac Brown Band!

AMFARH 007 – Bond, James Bond

image

It’s time for some martinis, girls, and guns in this special double-length episode as Vince, Scott, Brandon, and Dylan find out why nobody does it better than James Bond 007.

In this episode, All My Friends ask the tough questions like, “Who played James Bond best?”, “Who is more deserving of the Timmy D nickname – Timothy Dalton or Tim Duncan?”, and “What if Adam West had been cast as Bond?”

Corrections and Omissions
After we posted, I discovered that Kevin McClory had nothing to do with the 6-year gap between License to Kill and Goldeneye.  There were contract disputes, but they were about foreign distribution rights.

I also apologize for not mentioning that Liam Neesons almost got cast as Bond instead of Pierce Brosnan.

AMFARH 006 – The Academy Awards (20 Years Later)

amfarh006
Oscar season is here, and to celebrate the guys are looking back 20 years to the 67th Academy Awards.

They’ll hand out the hardware with awards like Most Dated Film and Biggest Snub, as well as tackle some burning questions: Is Forrest Gump a good movie? Who had the better 1994 – Elton John or Jim Carrey? Are we giving Speed enough credit?

Vince Guest Stars on the Your Stupid Minds Podcast!

I just guest-starred on my friend Chris and Nick’s bad movie podcast “Your Stupid Minds”.  This episode, we reviewed 1992’s Batman Returns.

Go to yourstupidminds.com and download Episode 71 today!

“Your Stupid Minds” holds a special place in All My Friends Are Right Here history.  The first podcast I ever appeared on was their “Spy Who Loved Me” episode (Episode 31 – June 2013).  Without that show, I don’t know if All My Friends Are Right Here would have come together.
